Cool razor with nice accompaniments
I would say this is a good idea for a man who has ALREADY tried The Art of Shaving and knows that it is what he likes. Working under that assumption, this is a pretty good deal because you get the chrome power razor and a full set of travel size products. If you don't like the brush, which is a little undersized because it is a travel brush, look at the chrome brush available separately. I have owned this for three years, and it is still holding up nicely.

Small overall but good shaving product
I was surprised at how small the brush was and the quantity of shaving products include. While small the quality is still up there and the lather is great. You only need a small dollop to get a lot of foam. The weight is pretty light on both the razor and the brush, which to me makes a huge difference in the feel of quality. Light products like this make me feel that they are cheap. I understand this is a P&G product aimed at getting you to buy more blades, but I wish this came in a single blade safety razor version. The battery gimmick is not necessary since the brush itself is supposed to lift whiskers. Either way, it's not bad but you could find better and cheaper elsewhere under a different brand name. You're paying or the brand.

Not really that great. Although I have done a lot of research and Art of Shaving is way overpriced to what the market offers for this type of product

A kit for the perfect shave.
I purchased this set for my boyfriend and he just loves it. The pre-shave oil helps to prepare and protect the skin. The shaving cream is rich and the badger brush gives a great lather and helps to set up the beard for a close shave. The after-shave balm really soothes his sensitive skin. As far as the razor is concerned, the built-in light helps to guide you in those hard to reach areas. The vibration of the razor and the 5-blade head helps to give a very close and comfortable shave. This set is a great value. If you're not ready to invest in the razor, The Art of Shaving - The 4 Elements Kit is a perfect way to try it out their products. My boyfriend absolutely loves the products and won't go back to regular shaving cream again. After trying the kit, shaving became less of a chore for him.
