Unlike traditional primers that are overloaded with silicone smoothers, Laura Mercier Primers are water-based and include a minimal concentration of the lightest silicones. That's why they feel fresh and lightweight, and why they work as well as they do. In addition, they create an invisible "buffer" for your skin, with an antioxidant vitamin complex that helps protect skin against harmful, aging effects of the environment. Gives skin a demi-matte finish, with invisible coverage. Ideal for normal to oily skin types.

Apply on clean skin, or after your moisturizer or sunscreen. Gently massage primer into skin's surface with fingertips. Follow with Tinted Moisturizer, Foundation or Concealer.

Disappointed

I have the oil free formula. I don’t feel like it does a very good job. I wanted to live it and bought it based on great reviews. It doesn’t seem to help with a smooth finish or staying power. I prefer Hourglass which is pricier but well worth it.

Feels lovely

I use this primer daily underneath the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser oil free and it helps it stay on my face and last all day. It is quite expensive but it feels luxurious when you put it on and the tube lasts for ages. I will probably repurchase when my current one runs out.

A good primer!!

I bought this recently after struggling to find a primer to suit my skin and it is working really well for me. Very easy to apply, it is pretty lightweight and works a treat under my foundation, especially if you have an oily t zone. Would recommend!!

NOT FOR OILY SKIN!

One of the worst, most overpriced primers i've ever used! Even though the formula says oil free this couldn't be further from the truth. It glides on like a light moisturiser, has a slightly odd smell and is so expensive for what it is. My make up would be sliding off my face by 11am. In fairness, I have extremelyyy oily skin - this product could be more suited towards normal/combo skin. I started using benefit the POREfessional Matte Rescue (the gel version) and it is infinitely better and much cheaper!

This made my skin look worse

The texture of this primer is nice, but it emphasised the texture on my skin and didn't work well with the other products I used. I felt it caused my foundations/tinted moisturiser to sit on top of my skin. The scent also seemed to go a bit strange after about a month. I wouldn't repurchase or recommend for those with normal leaning combo skin.

Essential item for all!

I didn't start using primer until my 40s, but I wish I started years ago! Primer allows foundation to go on more easily. This product is the very best primer I've tried! You must give it a try!

Beautiful texture

This is one of my favourite prayer ducts from Laura mercer.. it has a lovely texture and glides onto the skin. It’s also lovely alone insummer with just a bit of bronzer either a liquid bronzer or powder.. Laura mercer makes amazing cosmetics and this is especially good

The best for oily skin

I love Laura merciers primers and have found this one to be the best for keeping makeup in place around my oily tea zone which is all I need from my primer. I still need a little powder but I haven’t found a product that compares to this one. I don’t find the smell offensive although it’s not as nice as other Laura mercier primers that I have tried.
