Bloomingdale?s Unveils New International Visitors Center
Bloomingdale?s newly expanded Visitors Center has moved to the mezzanine area just off the main floor adjacent to Fine Jewelry. This more prominent location will better accommodate an increasing number of domestic and international visitors to the flagship store. The improved amenities and aesthetic will please the visitors while also differentiating Bloomingdale?s from other New York stores.
?Visitor services are a priority for Bloomingdale?s. Our 59th Street Visitors Center offers a host of amenities that enable out-of-town visitors to make the most of their trip or to feel at home in New York?s most famous store. Multi-lingual receptionists can assist with store and city information, in-store services and package delivery to their hotel. Bloomingdale's Visitors Center should be your first stop in our store,? said Frank Berman, Vice President of Marketing for Loyalty, International Programs and Advertising Media.
Premium services such as all-day savings certificates, signature gifts with purchase, foreign language store directories, multi-lingual staff covering 15 different languages with access to store employees who speak an additional 34 languages, personal shopping and direct hotel deliveries are among the amenities that are enjoyed by guests who visit the International Visitors Center. In-store group events such as private store tours, breakfast fashion shows, afternoon tea and cocktail parties are also available upon request. Additionally, there is a VIP desk for more specialized services such as restaurant information & reservations, car service and theatre tickets. Current Bloomingdale?s catalogues and information on local events are also available for browsing and booking through the service.
The new 2,100 square foot Visitors Center has been designed in an inviting and comfortable classic modern style to offer a respite from the energy of the main floor in a quiet space dedicated to personalized service. Upon entering, guests may approach a multi-stationed service desk that is softly backlit and set against polished lacquer walls. Designed to have the feeling of a world-class club, the flooring is a rich chocolate with a crème carpet set off by pale beige polished marble borders. The residential-like furnishings are leather, mohair and polished woods playing off a palette of chocolate brown, pale fawn and crème. The space is further advantaged by the natural light from a wall of windows that look down onto Lexington Avenue.
