Bloomingdale?s jumpstarts the Spring 2004 season with its semiannual HOT campaign, ?the definitive guide to the best trends of the season.? From March 11th through the 21st, HOT showcases not only key spring fashion trends, but also offers insight and access to the hottest vacation, car, music, and cause, in addition to a variety of hot events and rewards.
?The Bloomingdale?s HOT campaign is a great way for us to bring the hottest fashions, the hottest car, the hottest tech toy, the hottest events, the hottest rewards and the hottest philanthropic cause to our customers, ? said Michael Gould, CEO and Chairman of Bloomingdale?s. ?Bloomingdale?s makes it easy and convenient for our customers to shop the best the season has to offer.?
HOT Fashion
Spring 2004 is a season of bold fashions and strong trends, and Bloomingdale?s fills its HOT list with essentials for everyone. Polos and jeans form the basic look for women, with miniskirts, halters, and brilliant jackets offering great choices. Stripped bare sandals are the shoe of the season, complemented by colorful handbags and pink jewelry. Men can look for sporty styles in jeans, track jackets, and trainers, as well as new cuts and details in suits and pants. ?Living color? is the look for the home.
HOT Music
Every day during HOT, Bloomingdale?s will give away in each store an Apple iPod 40GB. This popular portable digital music player features a bold, distinctive interface that?s both functional and stylish. The iPod is small enough to go anywhere, yet big enough to hold 10,000 thousand songs!
HOT Vacation
Bloomingdale?s offers three winners and a guest for each a hot cruise on the Queen Mary 2. The trips on this most exclusive luxury line in the world vary from a Transatlantic crossing, to sailing around New England and Canada to cruising through the Caribbean. Winners will enjoy a wide array of modern amenities aboard the ship including the world?s only planetarium at sea, a Canyon Ranch SpaClub, and ten dining venues including the first Todd English restaurant at sea.
HOT Car
Once again, Bloomingdale?s and Volvo join to offer the chance to drive away in a brand-new 2004 S40 sedan along with an all expenses paid dream weekend road trip. One lucky customer will be one of the first to own the all new Volvo S40 with a five-cylinder turbocharged engine, revolutionary interior with an ultra-slim center control panel, and other great features inside and out. Enter to win simply by using your Bloomingdale?s card: every dollar you spend during HOT is another entry.
HOT Cause
Bloomingdale?s is proud to continue its support of The National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance. The NCCRA was founded by Katie Couric, Lilly Tartikoff, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation. This spring we are happy to be taking this philanthropic relationship to the next level. In cooperation with Joie and the EIF, we have designed a male and female T-Shirt to sell beginning with the start of HOT on March 11th. Bloomingdale?s will donate the net proceeds of the T-Shirt sales to the NCCRA. Thanks to the help of Bloomingdale?s customers, we have raised over $2 million for this cause to date!
HOT Events
HOT is your ticket to the hottest events across the country. From New York to Los Angeles, and in between, What?s Hot spotlights plays, musicals, wine auctions, museum events, concerts, and sporting events. Insiders can catch Grammy Award-winning Wynton Marsalis? performance or enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Rembrandt?s Journey at the Art Institute of Chicago, given by the museum?s curator. Whatever the event, Bloomingdale?s has your ticket!
HOT Rewards
HOT is also a time of great savings and rewards. All Bloomingdale?s charge card holders will receive a reward ticket redeemable in any store for a book of savings, gifts, bonuses, and more for all over Bloomingdale?s stores!
