BLOOMINGDALE?S TEAMS UP WITH MAXIM TO CREATE THE ULTIMATE BACHELOR PAD Bloomingdale?s famed model room & Lexington Avenue windows feature Maxim-styled home furnishings

NEW YORK, NY, MARCH 3, 2003? Bloomingdale?s, the world renowned department store, and MAXIM, the #1 men?s lifestyle magazine in the world, will be unveiling the Maxim Ultimate Bachelor Pad in Bloomingdale?s flagship store in New York City on March 11, 2003. The room, designed by Maxim and Bloomingdale?s, is located in model room #1 on the fifth floor in the furniture department.

The room, designed for the adventurous bachelor, features a black leather recliner with ottoman, a pair of micro fiber sofas, a state of the art entertainment center featuring a Sharp AQUOS Flat screen TV, a barbecue patio, and an eclectic mix of retro accessories and wall art.

In addition to the room, Bloomingdale?s will also be unveiling a Maxim-inspired display window, located on the corner of 60th Street and Lexington Avenue. The window will contain Maxim-styled home furnishings, a Sharp AQUOS Flat-screen TV and will be in place from March 7th to March 21st.

?The Maxim Ultimate Bachelor Pad is bringing the lifestyle that is portrayed on the pages of our magazine to the retail floor of one of America?s best known department stores,? said Jamie Hooper, publisher of Maxim.

?Bringing the Maxim Ultimate Bachelor Pad to Bloomingdale?s marks the first time we have directly targeted the ??young bachelor? demographic in the home furnishings area,?? said Tony Spring, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Bloomingdale?s. ? With the average Maxim reader having a household income of $65,000/year Bloomingdale?s hopes these young, affluent males will look to shop at Bloomingdale?s for the latest in home furnishings, clothing, etc.?

Jim Beam, Vox, Knob Creek, Pucker, Pioneer, Martin Guitars, X-Box, Vieluxe, Marin Bikes, Evolution Surf, Quiksilver, Sega, Harley Davidson Motorcycles, and Nike have donated products to outfit the Maxim Ultimate Bachelor Pad.

To officially open the Maxim Ultimate Bachelor Pad, Maxim and Bloomingdale?s will be hosting a launch party on the night of March 11th in the modern environment furniture section of Bloomingdale?s. Trista Rehn of ABC?s The Bachelorette will be the official host of the party.
